Biographies of our dancers Marguerite Colligan This is her 11th show with the CentreStage Dance Company and she is a regular performer at the Dance Forever studio in Braintree. When she is not dancing she is busy working as the Holy Confirmation Coordinator at Holy Family in Duxbury. She makes her home in Duxbury with her husband Jim and her son Tyler. Her oldest daughter Jessica has flown the nest after graduating college. She and Donna McConville have started a beaded jewelry business.
Terry Palingo This is Terry’s 6th show as a CentreStage Dance Member and she has been performing with the Dance Forever Studio in Braintree for the last 5 years. As a child, she studied in Braintree and while in college was a member of the Bridgewater State College Dance Company. Currently, she is a 1st grade teacher in Weymouth and teaches children’s and adult dance classes at Dance Forever. Terry also teaches graduate course in Reading at Bridgewater Sate College and is a doctorate candidate at U. Mass Lowell.
Donna McConville This is Donna’s 14th show with the CentreStage Dance Company. She has been dancing since the age of 2 ½ !!!!!! She also performs regularly with Dance Forever in Braintree and studies ballet at Boston Ballet. She is a CPA and has passed the bar exam in Massachusetts. Donna works as a CPA in Middleboro, MA and resides in Rockland with her husband. Donna also teaches accounting at Northeastern University and Quincy College. She would like to thank Kerry Youngstrom for this wonderful summer tradition of performing in the Pembroke Arts Festival. She would also like to thank her wonderful husband Jim, for his love and support over the years and his outstanding job as our sound engineer. Donna would like to thank her son and all her wonderful friends for their continued support in our many dance performances. Keep dancing!!!!
Cindy Harrington This is Cindy’s 12th year with the CentreStage Dance Company. She started dancing at the age of 3 and continued into college as a member of the Plymouth State College’s Contemporary Dance Ensemble. Cindy works as an Application Specialist at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She is also a choreographer/coach for Scituate youth Cheerleading. She and her husband, Scott reside in Scituate with their dogs Lucy.
EvaMarie Thomas This is EvaMarie’s 5th Arts Festival performance: she also has dance in numerous Dance Forever shows. This is her first appearance at the Arts Festival after a brief hiatus from the dance scene . EvaMarie has been dancing for 24 years and is extremely happy to be performing with her friends again. EvaMarie live in Pembroke with her husband Joe and spends her free time supporting her beloved Red Sox.
Polly Feinberg Polly has been Artistic Director of Dance Forever for 22(yikes!!) years. Before that she taught at the Joy of Movement Center, and even taught 4th grade for a while in her checkered past. She has danced in many places from the top of Telegraph Hill in Hull to the Boston Opera House. Polly loves living in her house by the sea with Bob and their kitty Emily and putting on shows with her friends. She's having an especially good time with this show because Kerry's in charge! and doing a fabulous job.
Bob Platka Mr. Rob is a 5th grade teacher in Scituate. For many years he has performed as the sound engineer for his wife’s studio Dance Forever in Braintree. We are happy to have him step in front of the spotlight. An avid bicyclist he is known to ride to work every day from his home in Hull. He recently returned from his annual vacation/biking trip to France during the Tour de France. This is Bob’s 9th show with the CentreStage Dancers.
Kathy Quartarone Kathy has been dancing since she was 3 and is currently a dance teacher at Dance Forever in Braintree and The Patti Eisenhauer Dance Center in Franklin. She has been involved in many community theater productions such as, “Bye Bye Birdie”, “Fiddler On The Roof”, “Hello Dolly” and “Carousel” and “42nd Street” to name a few. She performs regularly in the Dance Forever concerts. This is Kathy’s 8th performance with the CentreStage Dance Company. She resides in Wrentham with dancing husband and 2 dancing children and is thrilled to have the opportunity to perform with her husband, Guy.
Patty Mead This is Patty’s 3rd show with the CentreStage Dancers. Patty works for Media Planning Group in Boston and lives in Halifax. She has danced in numerous Dance Forever shows. When she is not dancing she enjoys traveling and playing golf. Patty is an avid sports fan and loves all the New England teams.
Guy Quartarone This is Guy’s 7th show with the CentreStage Dance Company and is a regular performer at the Dance Forever concerts in Braintree. He has also been a “Dancing Dad” at The Patti Eisenhauer Dance Center in Franklin for the past 6 years. When Guy is not performing, he is busy with his alarm business in Wrentham. He is an extremely proud father of two young talented dancers, who are involved in competitions all over the east coast. He thanks them and his wife for all of their help and support.
Sharon E. Terman This is Sharon’s 1st year dancing and choreographing for the CentreStage Dance Company. She has been teaching for the “Gotta Dance” Studio for 2 years. Sharon has been dancing for over 30 years. She earned a degree in dance form Dean Junior College in 1990. Some of her choreography credits include South Pacific, Guy’s and Dolls, the Mikado, King & I , Anything Goes, and The Hingham’s Cabaret. She is a member of the Greater Brockton Dance Teacher’s Association. Sharon would like to thank her husband Bob for all his love and support. They welcomed their first child, Zachary in Feb 2004.
Scott Youngstrom As one of the original members of the company this is Scott’s 16th show in a row. He has a BFA in theatre from Southwest Missouri State University and attended American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. He currently is a computer network specialist at WHDH-TV in Boston. He competes in Olympic and sprint distances triathlons, but cycling is still his favorite. He wants to thank his wife for her enduring support in all of his endeavors. Originally from St. Louis, He now is a Pembroke resident with his wife and 3 children.
Kerry Youngstrom Founder and Artistic Director of the company she is thrilled to perform every year at the Arts Festival. Originally from Scituate she started her teaching career at the Duval Dance Studio, graduated from Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston’s Teacher Training Program in 1977 and then majored in dance at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire. She did a summer internship in Illinois with Gus Giordano, a pioneer in jazz dance. Kerry is the owner of the “Gotta Dance” Studio in Duxbury and has also taught and performed with Dance Forever for 23 years. She would like to thank her family for their love , support and encouragement.
